youth program coordinator

HOURLY POSITION PART-TIME 6 HOURS DAILY OR $18.00 PER HOUR

(30 hours per week)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Have regular weekly/bi-monthly meeting with staff

• Maintain guest-speakers involvement

• Oversee and supervise all programs and components of programs

• Provide staff with ongoing encouragement strength- based support and training

• Facilitates enrichment activities, providing academic advisement, and offering individual and

group mentoring.

• Oversee the required paperwork and documents and ensure that staff are fully trained

• Provide staff with daily assignments allowing flexibility for unexpected changes

• Cultivate student leadership and team-building efforts.

Actual Job Responsibilities

• Enroll youth into the Youth Program

• Securing accurate and complete Youth Program applications

• Securing school report cards

• Works with parents to ensure all application paperwork is completed

• Oversee and help implement core life skills activities

• Enrollment preparation and maintenance

• Maintain accurate recording keeping and files for all youth in all programs. This includes

personnel files and evaluations as well as individual youth files

• Create and maintain monthly activity calendar

• Complete and submit monthly and quarterly billing and reports.

• Plan trips, recreational and creative activities, and special events

• Track, follow-up on, and maintain documentation of student progress.

• Develop plans, curriculum and facilitate leadership

• Actively recruit program participants and ensure full participation in programs

• Engage with staff when interacting with the youth

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have a degree in Social Services or Early Childhood; or a 5- year equivalent work

experience.

• Must enjoy working with youth.

• Must be able to us the computer.

• Must pass a background check.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
